The Founder - Fabio Vincenzo Di Salvo
My name is Fabio Vincenzo Di Salvo and my passion is not only the sport but also jewellery. The reason why I created the Enzo Escoba brand is quite simple. I was looking for a piece of jewellery that had the following values: Sustainability, craftsmanship, fair trade and social commitment. Unfortunately, I didn't come across any product in this case and therefore decided to create the Enzo Escoba brand in November 2017 to implement exactly what I personally wanted.
Fair trade: Handicraft does not only cost time and nerves, but also a lot of money. But that is not my goal. With the handmade leather bracelet I want to make it possible for society to get an attractive luxury good of very high quality for "little" money.
Sustainability: Out of personal interest I wanted to create my own piece of jewellery, where I know where it comes from, how the raw materials are obtained and who/where they are combined into a whole. Not only the production should be sustainable, but also the materials themselves. The scope of delivery therefore consists of basically natural materials: wood packaging, wood wool, genuine leather, paper authenticity certificate (stainless steel closure; sticker). The aim for the whole product is to do without plastic as much as possible and to offer a pure product. Leather is re-/upcycled leather from the butchery industry and the closures are made of high quality 316L stainless steel.
In the production of our fashion we also pay attention to sustainability and quality. That's why we use organic cotton and recycled polyester.
Handcrafted: All bracelets are made by myself in our Enzo Escoba manufactory in Haimhausen (north of Munich). The stainless steel clasp and the genuine cowhide leather I get with a clear conscience from my honest suppliers in Asia and Germany.
Social commitment: Social commitment is so important to me because we in Europe, especially Germany, live in a country where we don't have to worry about anything at all and are offered so many opportunities. Be it academic, academic, professional or personal development. There is a suitable offer for everything. In other countries exactly the opposite is the case: civil wars, lack of food, lack of school/academic institutions, etc. Therefore 1€ per sold Enzo Escoba product goes to the social purpose to support the affected countries with a little attention.
Finally I would like to draw your attention to the article about Enzo Escoba and me in the Bild-Zeitung :-)
